Houston Parks Board

The Houston Parks Board implements large-scale projects to improve Houston's connectivity and access to parks. Projects such as Bayou Greenways 2020 offer the opportunity to add important wildlife habitat along our bayou corridors. Houston Parks Board monitors Eastern Bluebird boxes and Chimney Swift towers across the City.

Houston Wilderness

Houston Wilderness convenes local conservation groups and facilitates regional, long-term planning. Houston Wilderness also provides leadership for collaborative fundraising grants, providing important funds to reach community needs. A recent collaborative grant, for example, provides funding to enhance Houston Audubon's Native Nursery with the goal of planting more pollinator-friendly (primarily Monarch) plants across Houston.
